About the role:

As part of the Reliability and Maintenance Team at Ampol’s Lytton Oil Refinery, the E and I Maintenance Coordinator works closely with area planners, schedulers, and work supervisors to coordinate all maintenance work within discipline within assigned plant areas.

This includes liaising with Operations on priority reactive maintenance, prioritisation of corrective maintenance based on asset risk and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Each asset group has both a Mechanical and E and I Coordinator, both reporting to the Area Maintenance Superintendent.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead safety by setting and monitoring standards, continuously improve the Management of Work and ensure quality systems are adhered to
  • Coordinate the safe execution of reactive and planned maintenance work within discipline in assigned plant area to achieve equipment reliability targets
  • Support the execution teams by providing technical guidance on required maintenance scope, liaising with engineering and inspection groups as required and stewarding management of change
  • Drive the work completion through supervisors and work teams, ensuring teams are held accountable to meet agreed schedules and key performance indicators
  • Troubleshoot and identify maintenance bad actors and end of life equipment for further assessment by engineering teams and capital replacement programs

About you:

We are ideally looking for someone with a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with 5+ yrs industrial Electrical and Instrumentation experience.

Experienced tradespersons with 10+ years of experience, Cert 3 in E and I, pursuing tertiary education and/or demonstration of technical competence will also be considered.

Experience managing the maintenance of an Oil Refining process plant is preferred, with either Industrial Manufacturing plant or Chemical Manufacturing plant also being highly regarded.

Key skills and experience:

  • 5+ yrs experience in managing and execution maintenance in an industrial facility with demonstrated technical ability in EEHA, HV, RCA and RMOC
  • Proven ability to supervise, engage and develop maintenance project staff and executing plans, while maintaining safety practices
  • Ability to work cross functionally with a broad range of personnel to collaborate, coach and drive change and problem solve
  • You hold yourself and others accountable to deliver clear and challenging objectives
